It's been a while since my last post, but here is the nitty gritty!

When I began this blog along time ago, I was not sure what I was getting myself into.  Now, 7 years later, I have a lot of wisdom for parents of twins and parents in general.  This shit is not easy!  My twins are now 7 years old and are the most perfect angels that were ever created (sarcasm).  Somehow along the way they have learned compassion, humility, love, kindness and loyalty.  This  I can't give myself credit for.  My loving wife, parents and their older sibling, not to mention their cousins and aunts and uncles have really made this easy.

Here is where I go off the grid a little bit.

Reese and Riley are in my mind as a father, are pretty close to perfect.  Do they whine? Do they get aggressive towards each other?  Yes! Do they love each other unconditionally?  YES!  We have hired numerous babysitters over the years.  It is refreshing when we find a new one and the girls rave about them.

Currently,  all of my girls are sick and it makes my heart ache.  To see a seven year old tell you how bad that they feel cuts right through you.  Having both tell you the same thing is devastating.  I just wish that I could take away all of their pain and endure it myself.

For those that know me well, I have been off the scene for a long time.  The reason is the most important thing in the world to me is my family!  As I grow older, I have learned that there is nothing better than your family and close friends.

My advice to the twin fathers and mothers out there is this - Stay the course, it gets easier when they are in their 4, 5 and 6 range.  They entertain each other, eat together and really spend every waking moment together.

We try to separate the twins at least once a week but to be honest with you, they don't like to be apart.  If one is sick, the other one want's to stay home.   I actually see them feel compassion for each other when one is not felling well.

I don't want to end this on a sick twin note so just to let you know, both girls have caught the fishing bug and I hope that they feel better this weekend!

Bye for now,

Twindad!
